My Ishmael 2/25/09

1. Two general reason on how to identify people of your culture are "If all the food is owned, if its all under lock and key." So that everyone in your culture has to work/buy their food. The second general reason is "They perceive themselves to be members of a race that is fundamentally flawed and inherently doomed to suffering and misery". I don't agree wish Ishmael when he says all cultures are the same, because not everyone and everywhere is the same. Some people live different life styles and believe in different things.

2. I agree with "Mothers Culture's" voice when she says humans are inherently flawed. No one person is the same, but one thing we all have in common is were naturally flawed, Its human nature. Humans whether they like it or not, no one is perfect and everyone has problems such as jealousy. Even if they don't show it, they may feel it. Some people may try to do something about it and be a better person, But some people don't try to change and just continue doing these sinful things.

3. Leavers are people/dancers that dance for a while to receive some of their favorite foods. Takers were people/dancers that took things into their own hands and danced for 8-12 hours a day to receive their own food. This relates to our "American Culture" because we are like takers and leavers ourselves. People that have everything handed down to them, just don't like taking any of the blame and push it off to other people, those are our leavers. People that don't like that concept and work for their food. Also people like conquistadors and the Europeans who wanted land and people to join them. They either joined them or died. Those are out takers.

Sustainable

1.To live sustainably, for example if your a teen, to be able do what is need to to be done. Like chores, homework, or maybe a job. If your adult, to sustain a job, apartment, and bills.

2.Teenagers 14-16 have a lot of freedom in today's society in America. Some have more then others because of how parents treat their kids and how over protective they are. But the majority of teens can pretty much come and go as they please.

3.As a 14 year old, I can live my life more sustainably by doing my chores more often. Sometimes I am told to do them, and other times I do them on my own. Also, doing my homework more often then I do.
